Nowadays, the idea of environmental protection has been deeply rooted in everybody’s mind. Thus an extremely energy-saving LED light bulb is necessary for each household. Products such as G4LED replacement bulb are so popular now. 12v LED MR16 bulb, which is an ideal replacement for traditional halogen lamp, is among the hottest products, too. On the one hand, it is working at low voltage. On the other hand, it is environmentally friendly and safe for use. There are many other types of LED products, such as GU10 LED and LED strip.
However, some problems may occur while the bulb is working with an existing transformer that works for your halogen bulbs. The bulb may flick, flash or even damage. As far as our experience goes, this kind of problem is always caused by an improper transformer or an inconstant driver inside the bulb. For instance, a 12V MR16 LED bulb, working with an electronic transformer, sometimes would flick. This is because the electric current of the driver in the bulb is inconstant. As a result, the output voltage and current keep changing instead of being steady. The unsteady voltage and current make LED driver not work reliably, so sometimes LEDs are flickering or flashing. How to resolve the problem?
There are some suggestions and tips for you to solve the problem.
Firstly, you’d better change the existing transformer to a constant voltage 12 Volt DC transformer that is much more reliable.
If your existing transformer is an electronic transformer, just change it to an iron core, magnetic or wire-wound type, which is friendlier to LED drivers.
If you don’t want to change the existing transformers, you’d better use a more reliable constant current LED driver for the 12V MR16 LED Bulbs.
